I also attended Immaculate Heart of Mary School/Parish with Norb my last two years of grade school (7th & 8th) We did lots together throughout high school and after. We were Best Man in each others wedding.One thing I remember about my wedding (June 7th 1969) Norb wasn't looking so good. I was kidding him at the time saying to him "don't take it so hard I'm the one getting married. Weeks later when I went up to Kinchloe Air Force Base my dad called me and broke the news..."Norb has cancer but he has another problem, he just quit RTE in Waukesha and in talking to Norb (his father died some years earlier) thought he was without insurance. My dad called up the VP who he knew from working with him and made sure Norb had insurance. Norb got insurance and had the surgery and thought they got it all. I learned in a telephone call in the 90's to Norb that the cancer was back. I could tell as I could hear it in his voice. Through the years I was good friends with his wife Barb and his family. Although from time to time I come across his family of siblings and I find warmth and satisfaction in that, he was a long time good friend.
